Back pain

Hot Water and a Jet Massage is one of the most effective ways to relieve back pain. Ask anyone who uses their Tub for more than just a party place, and they'll tell you how much better they feel after a good soak.

Independent studies have shown evidence that Hot Tub Hydrotherapy has both short & long term benefits for people with lower back pain. Studies have also shown that in just three weeks of consistent Hot Tub use, examinations showed more improvement in health status of pain duration, intensity, and back flexibility than groups who were using medication only. After six months, the benefits continued to increase with the the Hot Tub users and the use of anti-inflammatory drugs had decreased.

Cardiovascular Health

A study at the Mayo Clinic found that soaking in a Hot Tub simulates exercise & gives you the same health benefits of exercise, while also being less stressful on your heart! Hot Tubs increase your heart rate while lowering blood pressure, instead of raising blood pressure as with physical exercise.

A recent study also indicates that Hot Tubs may not present risks to heart patients as was previously assumed. The study showed that relaxing in a spa might actually be less stressful on your heart than exercising with a bicycle.

Sleep

Did you know that just 15 minutes of Hot Tub use can drastically improve your quality of sleep? It's true! This is done by raising your body's internal temperature by soaking in a Hot Tub within 90 minutes of bed time. It causes your body to then drop back down to regular temperatures once out of the tub, naturally inducing sleep without having to resort to chemical sleep aids. The state of sleep after Hot Tub use is deeper and more likely to be complete without waking up.

Did you know that an average of 75% of Americans now suffers from insomnia? Thanks to all of the electronic devices, stress, and additives in our food and drinks, sleep can be difficult at times. With sleep being the backbone to health and body healing, a Hot Tub can truly be a worthwhile investment.

Diabetes

An independent study by Dr. Philip Hooper at the McKee Medical Center, tested Type 2 diabetes patients for three weeks. This study involved each patient soaking in a Hot Tub for thirty minutes daily, six days a week, for the duration of the three week study. What he found was simply amazing! Each patient's average blood sugar level had dropped by an average of 13%, with one individual being able to drop the daily dose of insulin by 18% after only ten days of the study.

Dr. Hooper stated that Hot Tubs are especially helpful for diabetes patients who are unable to exercise and recommended that Hot Tub Hydrotherapy be used regularly.

Arthritis

According to The Arthritis Foundation, "Regular sessions in your Hot Tub helps keep joints moving. It restores and preserves strength and flexibility, and also protects your joints from further damage. A Hot Tub fulfills the need perfectly... it provides warmth, massage, and buoyancy that is so necessary to the well-being of arthritis sufferers. The buoyancy of the water supports and lessens stress on the joints and encourages freer movement."

Independent medicinal studies have shown that the level of inflammatory aspects that cause joint destruction and arthritis pain, fell significantly after three weeks of Hot Tub therapy.

In the United States, around 43 million people suffer from some form of arthritis pain. The good news is that that Hot Tub use can truly help minimize and reverse the pain and damage without having to resort to antibiotics.
